[computer-tech-support: 7721] usb keyboard not working on startup

I have a problem with my keyboard not responding when I turn on my
computer, the mouse is getting power from every port because it lights
up okay...but no lights on any usb keyboard that I have....there is no
ps2 port on my computer by the way....don't know what is going on
