If bais is the basis of this bill, then it will not succeed in its objectives.

One needs to be really naïve to believe that all parties (other than Congress) all corrupt-free or less corrupt.

All are. Let’s not make it a partisan issue. It is INDIA issue and to be looked at / dealt with accordingly.

There are two ways of handling corruption issue. At source level (SIMPLER LAWS) and/or after it has happened level (LOKPAL).

It is better in the long run to weed out issues which give birth to corruption.

Its better to weed out polio disease before it spreads.

Corruption weeds grows when it is watered with concentration of power of decision making (and not making).

At grass root level, over 90% of people pay to government officials as these officials have the authority to decide (and hence delay etc)

If this power of decision is replaced by a standard set of rules then approvals etc becomes automatic and over 90% (no. of instances not values) of such corruption gets reduced, which is what is impacting normal citizens.

eg. In RBI, most of the approvals are auto approved within a pre-defined no. of days for each type of application, unless shortfall pointed out by officials and set of documents to be attached in each case is pre-defined/listed.

Make laws which hit source of corruption -

We have most of the laws so that people do not misuse. Instead we should have laws assuming people do not misuse.

And have very strong laws if they misuse it.

Laws like only one term of MP, MLA etc as most of the corruption is for fighting elections (next time also). Atleast corruption will spread amongst many and wealth will not get concentrated.

Also punishment should be double for Government employees with no future Govt. employment to anyone in the family for next “n” years.

And all the assets of the family of MP, minister etc should be confiscated in case found guilty of corruption.

And many others.

Red Cyan Camera Lets You Capture 3D Images without 3D Camera

Red Cyan 3D Camera is an amazing app that lets you take Stereoscopic 3D images without 3D Camera. The only thing which you are required to do that is two webcams.

This app uses two webcams to take 3D pictures. Just simply put the camera 4" apart and plug them into a USB. And then launch this app and take pictures. Quite simple. In order to view the images you will need a red cyan 3d glass. The fact that you are required to have two identical webcams for this software to work is the only downer. You would also need to adjust and focus the camera to get good 3D pictures.

Red Cyan 3D camera does not let you make 3D videos -- Yet -- but the developers of this app can make this possible in future considering the demands of the users.

In case you don't have two webcams, you can always use two images taken by phone camera or digicam (after taking the first image move your camera 4 inch left or right and take another one) and then all you have to do is to add those pictures manually using Add Manually option.

It takes a lot of time in processing but the author of this app is trying to improve the processing time.

We have not tested this app as we did not have two similar webcams are needed for this app to work.

How To Fix Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) USB Drive Access Issue

USB drive access issue Windows 7 SP1 has been confirmed by Microsoft. User using Sonic Stage Mastering Studio software that is with the Sony digital audio recorder device might face an issue in which Windows 7 Service Pack 1 does not let you access USB storage device or it might take a long time to respond and fails with following error message.

Couldn't find PCM-D series. Please check the connection

The good news is that the supported hotfix is already available from Microsoft for affected OS i.e Windows 7 Sp1 & Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1. If suffer from this issue then you can go to the Microsoft Hotfix download center and download Fix353150.

NOTE: Restarting your Computer may be required after applying hotfix.

[computer-tech-support: 8259] Computer woes

I have (maybe had) an 8 or 9 year old HP desktop computer running XP.
It is my favorite computer (like an old pair of comfortable shoes).

Lately it looks like it's near death. Here's the gloomy tale:

Over the last three weeks the computer would freeze. Really freeze
where the only remedy was to reboot the computer. At the times that it
froze I could hear a low pitched howling sound that I could not
pinpoint. Matters got worse. It started doing the same thing during
the reboot process when loading windows. Then it got really worse. All
I got were the fans whirling, the ability to open and close the
optical drives (I have two), and the hard drive light staying on -
nothing else. No video, no ability to go into the BIOS, nothing, nada!
Here are the steps I took along the way to solve the problem:

1. Thinking the noise might be from on of the fans, I stopped them one
at a time to see if the noise would stop. No luck.

2. The computer has a motherboard which connects to the to the drives
via IDE cables which supports two hard drives; the "C" drive (100GB)
for programs and the operating system, and a "G" drive (500GB) for
data files. I disconnected the data HD ("G") from the system. No luck.

3. I replaced the "C" drive with its earlier version (40GB) that I had
used to clone the present 100GB "C" drive. No luck. In fact I receive
the error message "NTLDR missing." I then went back to the current
100GB hard disk - still with the same error message: "NTLDR missing."
However, I was able to overcome this by using Hiren's Boot CD. [This
is before the total failure I referred to above.] Also using Hiren's I
tested both hard drives - they tested 'good.'

4. After speaking with a friend, he suggested it might be the power
supply. I had bought a new power supply to keep on hand in case the
current one got fried. After putting it in, the new power supply
turned out to be DOA. (What else could go wrong?) So I a bought a
power supply tester and tested both the old one and new one. The
original power supply turned out to test perfect. (How accurate are
power supply testers? What' a top notch brand?) The new one not so.

Other than a defective motherboard which would necessitate buying a
new computer, can anybody suggest a fix?

One last question, 4 weeks prior to all this happening I replace the
data hard drive "G" with the 500GB drive whereas the original "G" was
a 200GB drive. Could this have stressed the system to cause the
failure?

now she command and control these billiion people...her heart only bleeds for Italy...as anybody...I am overseas Indian...almoist 30 years...whatever it may be

About.com Find By Error Message

As the name suggests, this is a service by About.com. The Find By Error Message page allows you to browse common error messages that are seen on PCs. The list is enormous so you will find almost all the error details there.

ErrMsg

ErrMsg is a desktop tool that allows you to do searches on the encountered errors. All you are required to do is to open this tool and enter the error code and then the tool will give you the basic description of the error. The amazing thing about ErrMsg is the fact that it works for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, so it can also give results for the latest error codes.

WELT

WELT (Windows Error Lookup Tool) is error lookup tool. It also provides the description of the error from the error code. It works quite nicely with common Windows and system errors. You can also save the error message as a note and can use iti later to find more information about the error.
