Helios Paint: This is a multi support freeware which can be used on Linux, Windows and Mac as well for image creation and edition purpose. A number of tools are provided for much better manipulation in a desired way. You can also set the image transparency, its size and other features like brightness, contrast, etc. as per your need and desire.  5.) Pencil: Last but not the least, it is an open source drawing and animation software which is compatible with multiple platforms such as Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, Mac, OS X, etc. If you are running your own website, then this is a very important software for you as it lets you to make simple cartoon like pictures which can be later exported as PNG or Flash formats and thus could be embedded in your web page.   |
