Yes that's just enough information required for getting the motherboard and everything is simple as you think -just plug and play--

I when to HP website and got my specifications for the manufacturer and model number. I need to know if this is all I need to know when replacing the motherboard. Can I just match up the model number or the model name to get a replacement? Also, is it as simple as plugging everything into it as usual because that is what I think. I've never done this before, but it occurs to me that all I am going to have to do is screw in the new motherboard and attach all the fans, cables, etc. to it and then all is well.

Re: [computer-tech-support: 7867] motherboard replacement
When I start the computer, I get a message on the screen that says searching for boot disk or something like that. It won't boot up due to those pins being broken. I also have a problem with my video card as my monitor cable will not screw all the way into the back of video card so replacing the motherboard should solve that problem too.
