memory swaps, in all reality if you do not have enough memory on your
computer the hard drive will pick up the slack and use part of its
space as memory. The hard drive is much much slower then memory,
which is why when people upgrade their memory, their programs load
faster, etc, since it is not storing memory related files on the hard
drive.
