Dayar-e-ishaq mian Apna maqam peda kar

Nia zaman niay subha wa shaam peda kar

 

Khuda ager dil-e-Fitrat Shanass day tujh ko

Skoot lala-wa-gul say kalam pedaa ker

 

Uthaa na sheshaa gran-e-frang kay ahsaan

Sfaal-e-hind say menaa wo jam peda ker

 

Man shaakh taak houn meri ghazal hay mera samara

Mray sammer sy may lala faaam pedaa ker

 

Meraa tareeq ameree nahin  faqeree hay

Khudee na bech ghareebi mian naam peda ker
                                                  allama Iqbal
