Re: [computer-tech-support: 7900] Quickbooks Networking

Wireless speed is about 54 Mbps, the wired network speed would be either 100mbps or 1000mbps depending on the computer's network card.

Hi Folks,

I have Quickbooks pro 2008 which has a multi-user capability. I have created a company file (data file) and stored in on one computer (PC-A).
I have installed the same version of Quickbooks pro 2008 in another computer (PC-B), and since there are in the same network and workgroup,
I can be able to access the data file in PC-A, without necessarily "restoring" it in Pc-B. Things works well in a wired LAN, not until I decide to go wifi, applying the same
standards as of the wired network.
In wireless platform, the problem is, I can log-in to PC-A, see the data file and even bring the prompt for user name and password for my datafile, but it hangs just there...for a long while...after which an error of accessing the data file appears. Would quickbooks data file be too heavy to be shared on  a wireless platform?

Thanks.

Kadadis.
