Check your Website Response Time for Increasing Traffic Load Posted: 30 Nov 2010 04:30 AM PST If you own a website then you should know the importance of its response time for different amount of traffic load on the server. Here is a simple test that can give you some estimate, if not actual data, for the response time of your website. With the help of a site called Load Impact you can test the traffic load on your site and the time taken to load for different amount of traffic. I run the same test on mine and the result was satisfactory. What you need to do is just enter your site's address in the URL on this site and select your subscription. You can either select the free subscription which will load your website with maximum of 50 simulated users at a time or the paid version for which the load is higher. Once started the test will take about 10 minutes to finish and will display a graph of the response time for the loaded users. Reading the graph is also easy at the end of the test. You can visit the website for more details. Related posts: |
