Disable Take Tour of Windows XP Option Posted: 04 Dec 2010 04:30 AM PST Windows XP had this good feature of introducing the OS features by providing a tour of the OS after you install the Windows but this feature irritates a lot if you don't want to take the tour or keep on formatting and reinstalling the Windows. If same is the condition with you then here is how to disable this feature in Windows XP. Following are the steps to disable the "Take Tour of Windows XP" Option: Steps: 1. Open Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Run box. 2. Navigate to the following key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour 3. Create a new DWORD key called RunCount or edit the key if already present. 4. Give it a value of 0. "Take Tour of Windows XP" bubble should not pop up after every successive logins into the system.
