| Unofficial Wikileaks App removed from iTunes Posted: 23 Dec 2010 04:30 AM PST Well most of us must be aware of the Wikileaks by now, but it came as a surprise to us when we came across the unofficial Wikileaks app in the Apple iTunes store.
The app holds the description as follows "The Wikileaks app gives instant access to the world's most documented leakage of top secret memos and other confidential government documents" and was published by Igor Barinov. The application was completely unofficial and its selling price was $1.99 although it provided users with all the information that one can search free on the internet. Although Apple have its own TOS to decide what app should be granted access and which not but Apple has decided to remove this unofficial app from the iTunes store. While Apple is not alone in withdrawing its support from Wikileaks there are other organizations like Bank of America, MasterCard, Visa, Paypal and Amazon who have done the same.
