I don't usually change the paging file location unless my C:\ drive is almost full, and i usually like to choose a fixed sized file in a single location in my most empty drive instead of a windows managed size, it's good to prevent the defragmentation of the page file it self.

This isn't the exact one I followed but it makes the same points
i.e.   putting the page file over a non-O/S drive.
