Salutes for "na"-letter-embodiment Shiv, Who is adorned with a garland of snake, has three eyes, Who has ashes rubbed all over body, Who is the ruler of everyone, Who is indestructible, pure and without ornation, and Who is entirely blissful.||1||
Salutes for "ma"-letter-embodiment Shiv, Who is covered with water of Mandakini (Ganga) and sandal, Who is the ruler of Nandi and other tormentors, Who is offered with Mandaar and many other flowers, and Who is entirely blissful.||2||
Salutes for "shi"-letter-embodiment Shiv, Who is like sun for the lotus like body of Gauri, Who destroyed the sacrifice of Daksha, Who absolved poison (during sea-churn) in His throat, Who has a bull as His flag, and Who is entirely blissful.||3||
Salutes for "va"-letter-embodiment Shiv, Who is prayed by Vasishtha, Gautam, Agastya, Udbhav (son of Nahush) and demi-gods alike, Who has sun, moon and fire as His three eyes, and Who is entirely blissful.||4||
Salutes for "ya"-letter-embodiment Shiv, Who is took the form of spiritual apparition (Yaksha), Who has tresses locked on His head, Who held the mighty bow Pinaak, Who is perpetual, Who is divine, Who is in the form of demi-gods, Who is without ornation, and Who is entirely blissful.||5||
Shloka Those who sing this Five-letter Eulogy of Shiv with utmost devotion attain the loka (world) of Shiv and remain in bliss.
