- Trailer Tuesday: Apes, Warriors and Old Dudes - 2011-04-19 13:00:00-04
Here’s a look at some of the more interesting movie heading to theaters in the near future. Rise of the Planet of the Apes I really hope James Franco and killer effects from the WETA people can reinvigorate the Planet of the Apes franchise. The original is one of my favorite all-time Sci-Fi flicks, and Tim burton’s early 2000′s remake was less than stellar. This reboot/prequel may be the way to go. We’ll have to wait until August 5th to know for sure. Anonymous The Radiohead really add to this trailer for Anonymous, a movie about the history of William Shakespeare… or the man who really was William Shakespeare… or the group… or the woman… or the aliens.. or the Sandman. Stake Land This indie-horror flick is another in the long line of Vampire films that have been hitting theaters in the twilight of Twilight. From what I can tell it’s a serious Zombiland, with vampires, not zombies. Warrior Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy play two brothers fighting to win in the world of mixed martial arts. Action, drama, fighting. The best solution to our lack of The Fighter 2? How To Live Forever One old guy looks at how … Continue reading

- $500 off this Stirling engine and Ferris Wheel set - 2011-04-20 10:00:32-04
When it comes to engineering the steam engine was the grand daddy of all motors and engines that we know of today. Robert Stirling however created a viable alternative to steam power, this fully operational model shows exactly how it works and there is $500 off too! Here is some information on how the Stirling engine works and powers the Ferris Wheel; Stirling engines are powered by the expansion and compression of air. Two alcohol burners heat the chambers on the Stirling engine, causing the air inside to expand and contract and push the pistons toward the chambers. This movement displaces some of the warm air, forces the vertical pistons upward, and turns the flywheels. The Stirling engine’s flywheels are connected by a rubber band to four flywheels on the Ferris wheel, powering its rotation. Made in Germany, the kit’s parts are made from machine tooled solid brass, stainless steel, and aluminium components on a walnut stained wood base. Ferris wheel: 9″ H x 5″ W x 4″ D. - Time To Laugh: Top Five Garfunkel and Oates Songs - 2011-04-20 13:00:14-04
Garfunkel and Oates is a comedy duo from L.A. that I just can’t get enough of. Sure, the gals are cute. But their sharp wit and crazy lyrics are what you should be talking about. Made up of Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome, Garfunkel and Oates are the female answer to Flight of the Conchords. HBO thinks so too. They have a show in the works right now. Sweet. #5 — Self Esteem “Self Esteem is a great way to get to know the sweet sounds of Garfunkel and Oates. Beautiful voices, catchy pop songs and one joke after another. If the first joke doesn’t work for you, the next one will, or the one after that. You will laugh. Best Line: “i wouldn’t tough your dick if I’d been poisoned, and the antidote was in your sperm Laughs: Live. #4 — I Don’t Understand Job Man, these two have so many songs great songs, it’s hard to pick just five. I might have to do a part two to this post. This rap is all about the handjob. Sorry, a little dirty. But it’s got probably the best series of Nixon jokes I’ve ever heard. Best Line: “Robert Stack … Continue reading

It seems as the Capcom think about the future of Resident Evil, it seems that although the 3DS version has been a brilliant success, it is the larger screen that beckons once more, which should be music to the fans ears. However, after five encounters isn't it about time that a change in spec took place? Well it would seem yes and no, the producers say that they will be moving away from the past format and onto to something new, we shall see!
