- Free DIY Furniture Designs and Instructions! - 2011-05-24 18:52:18-04
I’ve actually bought my first electric saw the other day and been cutting up bunch of stuff for practice. My next goal is to build my own furniture and if you are thinking along those lines, you might want to check out these free DIY furniture designs and instructions. This is going to be great, I am going to save a bunch of money on furniture. I've got so many furniture designs going that I will never get to make, so I thought why not loan them out for others to see and use as they wish. Think of it as a seed bank. These are domestic scale furniture designs generally in the traditional mode, but modern in form within the restrictions of materials and skills. That sounds good. This is not exactly a how-to-do-it site, though that sort of information is included, but rather a site to show you the wide verity of forms these designs can take answering the same basic requirements. My take, anyway. This is straight forward stuff using mostly wood. Some projects are very easy, others not. via make This post Free DIY Furniture Designs and Instructions! was originally from zedomax.com Design, designs, DIY, diy … Continue readingThis post Free DIY Furniture Designs and Instructions! was originally from zedomax.com

When we think of the Segway, what do we see? California beaches, sunshine and the freedom to travel how you wish, or do we see something else such as George Bush falling off or people losing control of the interesting machines. Whatever the vision, Segway has moved on from origins and it is now being modified so that it can tackle more than such a beach side track or rose garden! Here I have found five of my favourite Segway mods; these just show how this machine can be made into something completely different from which it was first designed. Segway Police Evaluation Program? Police departments get on two wheels for to patrol the street with the help of the Segway, yes finally this two wheeled machine is getting the official backing of some police forces in the US. - How to Make a DIY Sketch Tracer/Light Box! - 2011-05-26 09:39:29-04
Here’s a fantastic project for make your own DIY sketch tracer/light box with some plastic, wood, and aluminum foil. The author initially made it for his girlfriend who’s a fashion designer so she can trace her sketches easily but this seems like it has many uses. My Girlfriend is a Fashion design major working on her MFA, and she often needs to trace her sketches. She uses my animation table but it is a bit too large for her to work with, and she can't move it around. So I decided to make her a light box. Once I had everything together, it took me less than a day to build. In fact, I made it today. - How to Make a Low-Cost DIY Eye-Movement Detector! - 2011-05-26 10:23:57-04
Need to add eye-movement detector for your next project? Check out what Luis Cruz (a senior in high school) did, a low-cost DIY eye-movement detector. This is amazing, not only that he was able to do it for low cost but this kid is simply GENIUS! The human eye is polarized, with the front of the eye being positive and the back of the eye being negative. This is caused by a concentration of negatively charged nerves in the retina on the back of the eye. As the eye moves the negative pole moves relative to the face and this change in the dipole potential can be measured on the skin in micro volts. To translate this voltage into a position, two sets of electrodes are used to measure the differential voltage in the vertical and horizontal direction, on this project, however, just horizontal movements are recorded. Here’s a demo of his DIY eye-movement detector: via make, Luis Cruz’s Website This post How to Make a Low-Cost DIY Eye-Movement Detector! was originally from zedomax.com Circuits, DIY, diy eye-movement detector, Featured, Featured DIYs, Featured Gadgets, Featured Hacks, Gadgets, Hack, how-to, HOWTO, low-cost, make, Microcontroller, ProjectsThis post How to Make a Low-Cost DIY Eye-Movement Detector! was originally from zedomax.com
