The country's economy hasn't been great but it's started to recover. During this time the country had to take a long hard look in the mirror and realize that they lacked the education and tools necessary to be competitive in today's job market. The population is growing and more and more people are seeing college as a first choice rather than an option. Whether it's older individuals returning to school for medical billing or a recent high-school grad entering a four-year, there are many great tools that make the experience easier. Here's a list of some apps that are a must have for any full-time student.

BigWords:

This app is an iPhone application and lets users search through BigWords.com for textbook prices. It's really just a search engine for mobile comparison-shopping. It makes it very easy to glance at and when you attach assignments to a course, it will even show up on your calendar when the assignment's due. It only costs $0.99 and it's a must have companion for any student.

Evernote:

We're all familiar with the old way of taking notes where you had to develop your own shorthand system so you didn't miss anything. Now, with the iPhone, you can take notes for class. Evernote is a free application that allows you to support text, photo, voice notes, and more. The user can sync to an online account where you have the option of using a Mac or PC version.
