Tag is actually a technology by Microsoft that encodes data in 2D bar-code that uses bunches of colored triangles rather than the square pixels. Microsoft tag aims at instant data sharing among users through mobile marketing.  Microsoft tag manager can be used to create TAG that can be placed on packaging, print ads, marketing materials, on business cards or websites. Now when people will scan a Tag on their smartphones with the free Tag app, it will take them to your mobile site, show a video, download an app, add contact details to their address book, or dial a phone number.
