Once upon time, I had a little bit similar problem, when coming out of
hibernate or sleep would show the WELCOME screen and asks me to log
with a user name that doesnt exist, and asks for password that I never
knew.
It was the registry messed up(I think)...If you have nothing big to
loose, you may wipe the whole windows, and install it freshly once
again.
even the laptop will show a speedy boots, at least the first few
months or days !!! ;-)
