Skip File In Queue, Handle Copy Speed & File Conflicts With SuperCopier

Posted: 15 Aug 2011 01:30 AM PDT

Using third-party file copy/move tools is only logical when it's needed to pause/resume file copying operation and do some work with default file copy speed. File copiers are usually developed to alter file buffer size, speeding up copying to physical memory speed, and pausing many file copying processes. SuperCopier is a sophisticated file copying tool that, along with boasting many amazing options, allows you to skip files in copy queue and determine actions for file copy conflict resolution.

SuperCopier also substitutes the default Windows copy feature. The main interface is not very impressively designed but a boost in copying speed is very noticable. When you are copying files, it displays options like pause/resume copy process, skip copying present file, and cancel copying process. All sophisticated options are just a simgle click away. When you click Unfold, pane having 3 tabs, that are Copy list, Error log, and Options will open.

The copy list has some file sorting buttons at left sidebar to alter the sequence of files with other options like adding files and folders to queue, deleting selected item to be copied, exporting list to its proprietary SCL format. The inbuilt logging feature lets you see file copying failures and help you know the copy related problems.

Altering the default method of solving file copying conflicts with other actions can be done in Options. The Copy end section allows you to choose the post-copy action from the list. And you can enable determined file copying speed and then slide to adjust the speed in MB/sec by Speed limit.

The Copy errors and File collisions lets you to determine actions when different copying processes are conflicting with one another and solve duplicate file copying problems without prompting user again and again to assign action.

Head to system tray to activate/deactivate SuperCopier. Its menu provides options for starting latest file copy or move thread, viewing present thread list, canceling all queued threads, and bringing up Configuration window.

The Configuration window handles the slew file copy actions, application behavior, layout and appearance settings. The User interface tab lets you do alterations in the appearance of file copy UI by altering Foreground colors, Background colors, Text colors, and Border color.

Copies and moves defaults window lets you specify defaults for operations like copying and moving, and you can alter their behavior from the Copies and moves behavior window.

SuperCopier has a lot of options to customize file copying and moving operations.

If you feel the Windows default file copy speed is very slow, then you can try using this application. It runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
