It is a dream of every Linux user to get all the popular games on Linux. Although Call of Duty: Black Ops seemingly runs well under WINE, but some users might desire for native games instead. So today we have a list of 4 websites that you can use to find free Linux games with ease.

Check out the list:

Number one on my list is PenguSpy. The reasons for this are many. Well first of all it boasts an amazing collection of 200 games presently in the datebase. It also provides clear and beautiful pictures of all the games in a very nicely designed page. By clicking on a game you can see it's description and also a short video about it.

This site is very organized with a nice list of different categories of games on the left side. Although some categories may have many games and the other categories may have just one game in it, but still the awesome bit is that different categories are present for people of different tastes. You can also filter out your search from the tool at the top, to specify if you would like to see free and/or paid games or open and/or closed source games.

Well the name says it all. It is another awesome site to find native Linux games. This site does not look as cool as PenguSpy, but still you can find a great deal of information about the latest games. Different things are present on the main page, like the latest games in the database, game news and reviews, updated game versions, and users' choice games.

When you click on a game you will be shown some screenshots, video, and general description of it. Categories to which the game belongs to are also mentioned along with information about its features like single-player/multiplayer capabilities.

This great site also boasts a list of recommended tools, a forum, news section, videos, and a chat area for users. You can stay updated on the latest happenings through this site.

This one is a blog type of website that has all the latest news and game information. It is up to date and covers many famous games. The blog posts of this site about the games boasts their videos, so visitors can get a better idea of how the game looks like.

You can also get reviews of some games from this site. Even podcasts section is also present, but they are not updates. Anyway, the blog posts will keep you updated about all the latest Linux games.

Well if all the 3 sites mentioned above somehow don't work for you, you can always go directly to Wikipedia's list of all known and documented Linux games out there. Well we all know that Wikipedia is not a gaming site, but still this list is totally awesome.

Conclusion

Linux has a lot of high-quality games to offer. All you have to do is to find them. Hopefully you will be able to find good games with the sites mentioned in the list and then enjoy those games.
