[computer-tech-support: 8325] DVD drive is not working

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have AMD athlon processor system with 1GB RAM.It has both CD and DVD drive.  DVD drive is not detecting the disc. When I check the device manager, the device status shows that "The device is working properly" message.The CD  is not booting when I select the CD drive as first boot device. What is the problem and solution for this?
