Since September 2011, the Windows 8 Developer Preview has been out there for downloading. But people with slow internet connection are not able to download the Gbs of ISO files. So one thing that you can so to get the Windows 8 experience is to try the Windows 8 transformation packs available out there, but still it is quite risky as most of them change the system files and settings, and can cause many problems in your system -- even render it unrecoverable!

So what to do to get the new features and user interface of Windows 8? Well one great way can be getting Windows 8 Beta Simulator. As the name suggests, it is a software that allows simulating Windows 8 on your existing OS. Please keep in mind that is not a transformation pack, but it is just a regular software that you can uninstall any time.

Installing this software on your PC as a normal windows app is also possible. You have the ability of testing, checking, feeling the new features of windows 8 virtually just like real windows 8 operating system.

After installation, running Windows 8 Beta Simulator from your start menu is possible. You will see the user interface of Windows 8 Beta that is a wide screen monitor that starts by playing Windows 8 boot animation.

A login screen would appear upon booting, and you can either just press submit options or type junk password access desktop metro Ui.

Desktop Metro Ui boasts working apps such as Facebook widget, Gmail widget, Media player, Windows explorer and Twitter etc. Try and test each app by simply clicking them. Not all apps will be functional or similar to what you would actually see on real Windows 8

Windows 8 Beta Simulator may not provide all the awesome features that the actual Windows 8 provides, but still it gives you a great Windows 8 experience that you would definitely like.
