inspiron is acer correct? i had a friend who had an acer laptop, it had a problem in the connection between the board and the screen it self that would lead to getting a white screen, trying to move the screen by closing and and opening it a bit sometimes help, but i better solution to make sure that this isn't the issue is to try to attach an external monitor, just to know if its the monitor or not.

colour white screen and the laptop doesn't startup properly. However
after power cycling a fw times the laptop eventually starts properly.

reinstalled the OS to repair any software issues. The laptop has not
been dropped or damaged in any way and all parts in the machine are
