You could try this as an alternative.

I am using this screen capture software called Camstudio. I love this software, even though it is very buggy. I have run into many problems with this software, and I have troubleshooted and fixed many of them. But one (or probably more) problem remains. I started my  Minecraft Lets Play to be uploaded to YouTube. Everything was just fine, until I stopped recording. I watched as it was compressing the final product. When it finished, it gave me an error message. I browsed to the location of where the file was supposed to be. All I found at that location was a text file, which for some reason contained version data of the program, and a .wav file, which  i assumed was the audio of the entire clip, and nothing else. I just want to make sure that it will work before my next attempt. Please help me.
Note: I couldn't find a group focused on the program, so here I am.
