Samsung Fascinate Spy Shots!

2010-09-01 18:44:24-04

Samsung Fascinate has been spotted in the wild, seems like some Verizon stores (or Walmart probably) have them in stock.   Anyways, it doesn’t look all that different than a Samsung Vibrant.

My guess is that the only difference between the Samsung Fascinate and Vibrant is the network (CDMA/GSM) plus the fact that Verizon will probably load Skype Mobile on it.

Whatever the case, this is certainly another great phone to get on the Verizon Wireless.

Now, you have a choice between 4.3-inch Droid X, 4-inch Samsung Fascinate, 3.7-inch Droid 2 and Increidble.  I guess more choices the better although I can hardly keep up anymore.

Best Down Pillow Review!

2010-09-01 20:07:02-04

For those of you who have been looking for the right down pillow like me (I’ve been searching for last 4 years), I’ve posted up a review of Pacific Coast Affirm pillows I received couple weeks back over on our bed blog, so check it out if you are looking for a pillow.

After trying them out for 3 weeks now (and counting), I am glad to say these Pacific Coast Affirm pillows are the best down pillows I have ever tried.

Trust me, I tried everything from memory foam contour pillows, down pillows, and even hybrid memory foam/down pillows (these are good too) but as far as "pure down" pillows go, these Pacific Coast Affirm pillows are simply the best.

Starting from its quality manufacturing as you can tell by the seams in above photos, to comfiness when laying down on them, these Pacific Coast Affirm pillows are worth every penny.

Keyboard Hack – How to Make a Mini Keyboard!

2010-09-01 22:55:15-04

Honestly, I don’t need those extra number keyboard buttons on the side of my desktop keyboard.  It just takes up more space, especially if you don’t know how to use it and you are not an account.

No worries, you can easily chop it off and make it into a usable DIY mini keyboard, there’s virtually no wires between the two pieces so you should be fine.

It happened that I had one spare at home, but alas, it was quite big for my small home workplace. I got inspired by Happy Hacking Keyboard and decided to create something similar. I choose to have version with cursor keys, even if hjkl should be enough for working with THE editor. You can create your own HHK too, see process below.

G2 Phone Price Leaked!

2010-09-02 04:51:27-04

We suspect the new G2 Phone to have a higher CPU frequency than ever, perhaps above 1Ghz.

If that’s the case, I will make sure to pick up one and make another gigantic hole in my wallet (err.. bank account).

Anyways, I am sure some of you are super G1-Phone-geekified, here’s G2 phone price leak, $199 with contract and $499 without.

The Padfoot iPad stand

2010-09-02 05:28:57-04

Make your iPad look as if it is standing upright own its own with no support with the Padfoot stand, this is single piece of plastic that has a slot cut into it, which conveniently is just the right width for the iPad to fit snugly without being loose or too tight.

It is quite an amazing design and considering that it weighs just 15 grams and yet it can support the iPad without the fear of it falling over, this is definitely gravity defying stuff.

These are the details of the designer Padfoot iPad stand:

PadFoot is a stand for iPad, designed to match the iPad’s simplicity and elegance. Great for viewing photos and clips in the upright position; or slide PadFoot under your iPad for an improved typing and interaction angle. PadFoot can be used in both portrait and landscape mode; iPad can be charged in landscape mode. Strong and stable as it is, PadFoot adds less than 15 (!) grams of weight to your bag.

Priced at $25

The helpful robot

2010-09-02 06:00:12-04

We have seen a lot of robots being developed, most of with have little or no purpose, but occasionally there is design that makes us think that there is hope yet and maybe not all robots are going to rise up and take over the planet.

This is the PR2 robot, it has been designed by researchers at UC Berkeley, it has been programmed to pair up socks, yes that's right millions of dollars or research funding and they have come up with robot that sort out your underwear, maybe robots aren't as intelligent as we first thought!
