  1. Android Tablet News This Week - 2011-06-02 12:17:14-04

This week’s been pretty wild for Android tablets, there’s a slew of great Android tablets now on the market plus more coming on the way, check out some recent Android tablet news: I just ordered a ASUS Eee Pad Transformer with the keyboard, this is going to replace my old Eee PC netbook, awesome.  I know this is going to be one of the best (if not the best) tablets of the year. Quad-core Tegra CPUs are on their way by end of this year, you can expect great things like being able to really dumping your laptops for good. MSI announces their low-budget tablets Enjoy 7 and 10, looks promising but I will stick to the latest and best. Toshiba is finally launching their 10.1″ Android tablet with similar specs to Eee Pad and the Motorola Xoom, I suspect this will all boil down to price. Couple weeks back, my best bet was on Motorola Xoom but now that ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is out (with a keyboard dock that gives you 16 hours of additional battery life and 3 wishes), I had to order one yesterday at B&H. 2. Fellowes W11C Paper Shredder Review! - 2011-06-02 16:15:20-04

I recently bought the Fellowes W11C Paper Shredder from Amazon (mostly due to its good reviews and longevity), and I have to say, it’s a great paper shredder that can shred your important documents quickly and efficiently. One of the things I was looking for was durability as I don’t want to have a broken paper shredder after couple months.  Gladly, the Fellowes W11C is a really great, durable paper shredder for the money you spend, it comes with these gigantic blades plus ability to go in reverse in case your documents jam. The Fellowes paper shredder does 11 pages per second, shreds credit cards, and most junk mail in matter of seconds. There’s also a child-proof lock which is nice. Here’s a short video review I made demoing the features of this paper shredder: This post Fellowes W11C Paper Shredder Review! was originally from zedomax.com Featured, Featured Gadgets, Featured Reviews, fellowes, fellowes, Gadgets, paper shredder, review, w11c

  4. House DIY – How to Install 3-Way Dimmer Switches! - 2011-06-03 14:40:58-04

Recently I moved to a new house, finally I have more space to run my blog.  Also, I am doing a bunch of DIYs around the house, like installing this 3-way dimmer switch (to save money on energy and also looks better than old switches). So, I’ve started a new blog called HouseDIYHowTo.com to focus on these cool House DIYs and HOWTos, you can check out my very first blog post on how to install 3-way dimmer switches. Having a dimmable switch in your home will save you a LOT of energy in the long run and the your bulbs will last longer.  Besides that, switches will pay for themselves in just matter of 6 months.  Think about the last time your lights were too bright and you weren't in the room, what if you could have "dimmed" them and saved some energy.  It makes sense in this world where energy is getting more scarce to upgrade your light switches to more green and eco-friendly ones. You don’t have to be an electrician to install your own dimmers, they are pretty easy to do.  In fact, it’s much easier than soldering anything in my opinion.  You just gotta make sure … Continue reading

In science fiction, lasers are powerful weapons. However, in reality, a laser can be a powerful tool and new laser technology is being used in many gadgets to make life easier for consumers. These are my Top Five gadgets that use this laser technology to help the consumer in wide of different circumstance from cycling to keyboards. Safer Cycling with Light Lane For a cyclist riding at night making sure that they can be seen is essential for safety, but depending on location, this is not always possible, so the cyclist could use some extra help! This could be the Light Lane system that uses laser technology to project a cycle lane onto the road and therefore makes drivers aware of the cyclist's presence. These are the main points for the Light Lane self illuminated cycle lane; Bike lanes are an effective means of improving safety for motorists and cyclists.  However, due to the high cost of installation, bike lanes are not widely available.  Instead of forcing cyclists to adapt their behaviour to the existing infrastructure, the bike lane should adapt to the cyclist. This is a concept design at the moment Source [Dornob] Hair Brush with laser technology You … Continue reading
