what operating system are you using, i ran into this once with a
windows xp system and maybe by luck but i put it on a vista system and
could access files copied them to computer formatted hard drive and
copied them back and put in original pc and was good to go, you might
be able to go to settings/folder options show hidden files and delete
the windows files that are on that drive and that might work
